Caritas Switzerland (CACH) invites all eligible construction company for a price quotation to the following construction works (Bale Certified Coffee training and Cupping Hub)

Cartas Switzerland (CACH) & an international development and humanitarian organization, a non governmental aid agency and member of Caritas International Caritas works worldwide and adheres to international humanitarian principles (NGO code of conduct) Caritas Switzerland has been supporting various projects/programs in Ethiopia since 1974 and currently the organization is registered by Charities and Societies Agency License #3676) according to the proclamation of the country to partake on the objectives WASH, Education, and humanitarian Aid.

CACH is seeking qualified construction contractors to submit bids for the construction of a Coffee Quality Institute (CQ certified Coffee Training & Cupping Hub for Bole Zone Delomena woreda. This facility will serve as a center of excellence for coffee quality training, professional cupping sessions, sensory education, and capacity building for coffee producers. exporters, and industry professionals

The hub will include specialized facilities meeting CQI international and national standards for coffee cupping training classrooms, laboratory facilities, and supporting infrastructure.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1. Category GC/WWC Three (3) & above who have valid licenses and previous or on-going similar work experience in Caritas Switzerland can obtain a complete set of bidding document from Caritas Switzerland Country Office from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm starting from the date of announcement on public medias until April 27 until before 12:00 PM (local 6:00).

1.2. Bidders can collect the bidding document at the address given (bidders shall bring their license or their legal delegation paper for document Collection). Bidders are not required to make any payments while collecting the docs.

1.3. Duplicate copies of BID OFFER shall be produced in separate envelopes marked as ORIGINAL and COPY, A wax sealed, stamp envelope All envelopes shall then be put in one big envelope together carrying the Bidder's Bid Security Cash Payment Order (CPO) amounting to 2% of the total bid offer for the works before the deadline of submission.

1.4. Essential (exclusion) Criteria

1.4.1. Relevant & Valid Renewed business licenses for Ethiopian fiscal year of 2018 to operate in Ethiopia.

1.4.2. GC/BC Licenses of grade 3 and above could participate like, Certificate of Competency.

1.4.3. Submission of bid security in the name of Caritas Switzerland from a recognized bank only in the form of CPO.

1.5. The selection criteria will be based on Technical and Financial evaluation

BID OPENING

1. The bid will be opened at Caritas Switzerland. Country Office at Addis Ababa, in the presence of bidders and/or their legal representatives who choose to attend on proposed opening date. Only financial offers should be opened on the date of bid box opening.

2. TECHNICAL EVALUATION (minimum requirement]

2.1. Contractors should attach their previous works performance letter from GO/NGO and CACH in similar types of works, working fools & human resources to execute the activities

2.2. Adequate and elaborate work plan (Implementation plan) starting from date of agreement signing

2.3. Proposed Methodology for the works in this bid document

2.4. Knowing the local context and previous experience working in this or similar hardship working environment is mandatory.

3. FINANCIAL EVALUATION

The financial evaluation will be carried out based on price.
