The South Ethiopia Roads Authority invites bids for the construction of three river bridge projects in the Gedio and Wolayita zones of the South Ethiopia Regional State.

Invitation for Bridges Construction Bid

The South Ethiopia Roads Authority, by the budget from Ethiopia Roads South Ethiopia Regional State allocated budget towards the cost of the construction of the following River bridge projects:

1. Interested bidders shall submit the following evidence:

I. Renewed Business License

II. Renewed Construction Competency Certificate from the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction

III. VAT Registration Certificate

IV. Taxpayer registration certificate

V. Valid tax clearance certificate

VI. Evidence of/Being/ registered supplier under public procurement and property Administration Agency.

2. Every Contractor firm who fulfills the eligibility documents can buy any Lot. However; they can submit their proposals maximum of only one Lot which they will prefer.

3. Bidders shall submit three envelopes, "Qualification information" (one Original sealed separately and each two copies sealed separately, then finally sealed with one outer envelope), "Bid Security" and "Financial Bid" (one Original sealed separately and each two copies sealed separately, then finally sealed with one outer envelope) and finally three envelopes should be sealed in one an outer envelope.

4. Evaluation is to be carried out in two stages, Qualification information first and Financial Bids of qualified bidders at the second.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 to 12:30 a.m. and  1:30 to 5:30 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday's.

6. A complete set of bidding documents prepared in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 800, during working hours of 15 successive calendar days starting from the first date of notification of this advertisement on Ethiopian herald. The final submission date and opening of proposal will be on the 16 date of this announcement on the Ethiopian herald at 2:00PM & 2:30PM respectively. If the 16th date is not a working day it will be on the next working days at the same time.

7. Bids must be delivered to the below address on or before 2:00p.m. Of the above said date. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 400,000 (Four Hundred thousand birr only) an late bids will be rejected.

8. Contractors which have active contract with SERA and not completed the projects prior to bid submission deadline arc not invited.

9. South Ethiopia Roads Authority reserves the right to accept or reject part or all of the bidding process.
