Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) invites qualified Electro Mechanical Contractors to collaborate with us on upcoming dam project electro mechanical work.

I. GENERAL ABOUT SCOPE OF WORK AND PROJECT SITE

1. Scope of the work: Design review, Manufacturing, Supplying, and Erection/Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Intake tower and valve house Electro-Mechanical and Hydro-Mechanical Equipment's.

(Types of Electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment in the scope of this works)

• Water flow control gates (Wheel gate, Sliding gate and Stop log) up to 10 ton dead weight
• Hoisting system for water control gates (Screw steam hoisting and Rope drum /Winch hoisting up to 20 ton lifting capacity and EOT crane hoist and Gantry crane hoist) up to 8 ton lifting capacity Construction steel conduit and related equipment's such as ( Howell- Bunger valve)

2. Project location

• Oromia regional state at about 150km West of Addis Ababa.
• Woreda administrative boundaries namely Guder and Dere/Tikur Inchini.

II. CRITERIA FOR SELECTING POTENTIAL COMPANIES/ FIRMS

1. Relevant professional practice certificate required by the companies/firms

• Having license grade 2 and above in Electro-Mechanical work contractor/manufacturing from concerned government authority.

2. The individuals or firms in a joint venture, consortium or association shall be jointly and severally liable.

• The maximum number of JV Partners shall be limited to two

3. Submittal of legal documents by the companies /firms

• Valid business license indicating the stream of business in which it is engaged
• Valid tax clearance certificate issued by the Tax Authority (domestic bidders only)
• Vat registration certificate.
• Written Power of Attorney of the signatory of the bid.
• Joint Venture letter, if applicable.
• Supplier's registration online certificate from Public Procurement & Property Administration Agency (domestic bidders only).
• Signed, dated & stamped Anti-bribery Pledge Form.
• Renewed License from concerned government authority and other relevant documents shall be required.

4. Professional qualifications and capability: As per the schedule of the project requirements the companies/firms must meet the requirements listed below

• Number of staff: At least 10 staffs currently work for the firm
• Personnel for the key positions: As listed in the table below

 3. Technical qualifications, competence, and experience: As per the schedule of the project requirements the companies/firms must meet the requirements listed below

A. General experience of the firms

 Has successfully completed as contractor or subcontractor at least three contracts similar to proposed work or relevant with a total budget of 100 million ETB with in the past ten years..

B. Specific experience of the firms

• Has successfully completed as contractor or subcontractor at least one contract similar to proposed work with a total budget of 40 million ETB in the past ten years.
• Firms shall provide at least one certificate of satisfactory execution of a contract in fields similar to this work by contracting parties to the contract successfully completed in the course of the past 10 years with a budget of at least 40 million ETB.

C. Firms availability equipment's for the implementation of the contract

4. Financial standing: As a proof of financial standing the following documents need to be furnished by the firms.

A. Historical Financial Performance:

Submission of audited balance sheets and other financial statements for the last five (5) years.

B. Average Annual Turnover:

The average annual turnover calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within the last five years must exceed 100 million ETB
