Procurement of FDM 3D Printers for Humanitarian Mine Action Project |
1. Purpose of Procurement |
Humanity & Inclusion intends to procure two categories of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM/FFF) 3D printers to support the implementation of Humanitarian Mine Action activities in Northern Ethiopia. The printers will be used to locally manufacture tools, fixtures, jigs, protective accessories, and functional components required for mine action operations, mechanical support activities, and workshop-based fabrication. The use of additive manufacturing is intended to reduce dependency on external supply chains, minimize operational downtime, and strengthen local technical capacity in challenging and remote operational environments. The equipment must therefore be robust, reliable, suitable for continuous use, and adaptable to resource-constrained field and workshop conditions. |
