The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human-suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and private organizations, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition.

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) would like to invite qualified and experienced firms to submit proposals for the translation of Ethiopian Food Systems Training Manuals from English into five local languages: Amharic. Afaan Oromo, Afar,  Somali, and Tigrigna.

1. Qualified and experienced firms to submit proposals for the translation of Ethiopian Food Systems Training Manuals from English into five local languages: Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Afar. Somali, and Tigrigna. The assignment aims to ensure that key food systems training materials are accessible and effectively communicated to diverse stakeholders across Ethiopia. Interested firms with proven experience in professional translation, particularly in development, nutrition, agriculture, or public health sectors, are encouraged to apply in accordance with the requirements outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) The full set of tender documents and detailed requirements can be accessed on the 2Merkato platform at the following link:

2. Bid Validity, The bid price shall remain valid for 60 days from the date of submission.

3. Submission Format, Bidders must submit Technical and Financial Proposals In separate sealed envelopes. The financial proposal must be submitted In Ethiopian Birr (ETB) only.

4. Bid Submission Deadline, completed proposals should be inserted in the available box at the GAIN office before May 4th, 2026, Central European Time on 16:00 PM. Proposals submitted after this time will not be considered

5. Disqualification Clause

Failure to comply with any of the conditions stated in the RPP will result in automatic disqualification of the bid.

6. Right to Accept/Reject

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either partially or in full.
