Sandford International School invites licensed, qualified, and experienced civil engineering and construction contractors with class of BC4, GC4 and above to submit technical and financial proposals for the comprehensive repair and renovation of the school compound's asphalt pavement and student walkways.

Project Scope & Key Quantities

• Asphalt Pavement Resurfacing and Walkway renovation; Full-depth repairs, crack/fissure patching, edge milling and overlaying with a compacted lift of hot-mix asphalt.

Mandatory Contractor Qualifications

Interested bidders must submit documentation verifying the following:

1. Valid, current renewed construction license with class of BC4, GC4 and above in Ethiopia with proven experience in asphalt concrete pavement works.

2. Tin number, VAT, tax clearance, bid participation license.

3. Company profile displaying total manpower experience and a list of relevant, completed projects.

4. Verifiable client references for repair and renovation projects.

5. CPO 2%

Key Submission Requirements

• Fixed-Price Proposal: A single, comprehensive financial proposal showing the total fixed price inclusive of all applicable taxes alongside a highly detailed breakdown of unit prices.
• Technical Schedule: A project schedule with an accompanying written narrative detailing phases and timelines.
• Quality & Safety Plans: A detailed Quality Control (QC) plan (incorporating a three-phase process: preparatory, initial sampling, and follow-up) and a Hazard Control Measures plan.
• Material Standards: Product data, design mixtures, and material safety data sheets conforming to Ethiopian/ International Building Codes, ASTM, and ERA standards.

Project Timeline & Execution Rules

• Project Duration: Maximum 45 working days from the signing of the contract / Notice to Proceed (NTP).
• Site Visit: A mandatory site visit to observe the existing field conditions is required before submitting proposals.
• Work Hours & Safety: Standard operations occur during school hours. However, interruptive works must be completed on weekends or nights at no additional change-order cost. Strict adherence to local labor laws, safety barricading, and daily cleanup before 6:30 PM is mandatory.

• Bid documents are available against payment of non- refundable Birr 300.00 from the school's Finance Office from Thursday, July 9, 2026 - Thursday, July 16, 2026
• The bid will be closed on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 10.00AM in the morning
• The bid will be open in the presence of interested bidders or their legal representatives on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 2.00pm. in the afternoon.
• To submit their Financial and Technical offer prospective participants should Visit Sandford International School site and contact Facilities Department to schedule their mandatory site inspection and obtain submission instructions.
• The school reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
