Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands invites qualified GC-1 construction companies from Arab, African, or African-Arab countries for the construction of an irrigation scheme in the Sidama-Gidabo Region.

1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has applied for financing from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) for productivity enhancement to support Integrated Agro - Industrial Parks and Youth Productivity.

2. The National PESAPYE Project office of Ethiopian on Behalf of the FDRE invites qualified construction Companies for the Irrigation scheme construction works of Sidama - Gidabo Region.

In general, the proposed irrigation Scheme of Sidama-Gidabo works consists of secondary, tertiary Canal Constructions, Drainage works and access road which covers 5000ha of irrigable lands.

Time of completion of the project is 24 months.

3. Eligible bidders shall only be from Arab, African or African-Arab countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project Office and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM until bid closing date.

5. Bidders may obtain a complete set of bidding documents at the above office starting from the date of advert and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 25 US$ (Twenty five USD) or in ETB equivalent 4,000.00 (Four thousand ETB). Payment shall be made in cash, bank certified check or telegraphic transfer to the Ministry's Bank Account in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Account No. 1000279991609. Bidders who has Category GC-1 local contractors or equivalent can only participate in this bid and shall have renewed certificate for the current year. The document will be sent by registered airmail if required so by the bidder but under no circumstances will the procuring entity be held responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so mailed.

6. Bid must be submitted to the Address below on or before October 23/2026 at 02:00 PM.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a security ETB 70,000,000.00 (ETB Seventy Million) or in any currency that can be convertible easily in to ETB from eligible and reliable bank in the form specified in the bidding documents, Late bids will be rejected.

8. The bid will be opened in the presence of Bidders representatives who choose to attend on the final date and time of bid submission.

9. The procuring agent has the right to cancel or modify the bid partially or entirely.
