1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received funds from African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the construction of projects, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the construction of Taba Earth Dam Project.

2. The Amhara Region Bureau of Agriculture now invites sealed Bids from  eligible Bidders for the reconstruction and construction completion of Taba Earth Dam Projects.

a. Taba Earth Dam: -Of the 23.8m dam height, on average nearly 15m dam height is completed, though it requires rework/stripping and fill and compaction of the top two to three meters or more depending on the actual site conditions. Other tasks include but not limited to excavation and reshaping of the Spillway and associated spillway civil work structures, bridge over the spillway, Intake tower access bridge construction, completion of draw off conduit etc. The dam crest length is 431 meters.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the Bank's Procurement Framework, effective of January 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested eligible bidders during office hours from 8:30 A.M to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday from Bureau of Agriculture /Kebele 03/, Ground Floor Room Number 20/21 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 1,000.00 (Birr one thousand only).

5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Small Works.

6. Bidders must provide certificate of satisfactory execution of previous contracts. All project work experience documents originating from lower- level administrative units (Woreda/District or Zone) must be validated by the corresponding higher-level regional authority. Experience documentation lacking this specific regional-level endorsement shall not be accepted or considered for further evaluation.

7. Bidders are required to submit copies of all eligible documents and licenses, which are renewed for the year 2018 E.C.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 07 May 2026 G.C at 9:30 A.M. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 10:00 A.M on 07 May 2026 G.C.
