Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research: Procurement of Building Renovation and Maintenance Work

Submission of audited balance sheets from chartered certified external auditor and other financial statements as required in the BDS Clause 17, for the last 5   years to demonstrate the current soundness of the Bidder's financial position and its prospective long-term profitability.

The peak annual turnover calculated as total certified payments received from construction contracts in progress or completed within the last 5[insert number of years] years must exceed ETB 50,000,000.00

The Bidder must demonstrate access to, or availability of financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, and similar, other than any contractual advance payments to meet the following cash-flow requirement: ETB 10,000,000

Bidder is found to have a conflict of interest as described in ITB Clause 6;

Bidder has to submit valid business license indicating the stream of business in which the Bidder is engaged, in accordance with ITB Clause 4.5(b)(i);

 Bidder has to submit a valid tax clearance certificate issued by the tax authority in accordance with ITB Clause 4.5(b)(iii).

 Bidder has to submit VAT registration certificate issued by the tax authority (in case of contract value specified in BDS Clause 4.5(b)(ii)), in accordance with ITB Clause 4. 5(b)(ii).;

Bidder has to submit business organization registration certificate in accordance with ITB Clause 4.5(c).

Bidder has failed to provide CVs of the Professional staff signed by the staff themselves or by the authorized representative of the Professional Staff.

Bidder has to demonstrate in its Technical Proposal that it will have the personnel for the key positions that meet requirements 

Bidder has to submit relevant professional practice certificates, if required in BDS Clause 4.5(b)(iv).

All pending litigation shall in total not represent more than 10 percent of the Bidder’s net worth and shall be treated as resolved against the Bidder.

Bidder has failed to provide in the Bidder Certification of Compliance Form information about contracts similar to the proposed Works in the number, value, and period 

Bidder has failed to provide in the Bidder Certification of Compliance Form information about major relevant contracts successfully completed 

Non-performance of a contract did not occur within the last 3 years prior to the deadline for Bid submission, all contract details should be presented. based on all information on fully settled disputes or litigation. A fully settled dispute or litigation is one that has been resolved in accordance with the Dispute Resolution Mechanism under the respective contract, and where all appeal instances available to the bidder have been exhausted.

The Bidder has successfully at least 5 years of experience as a contractor. 

The Bidder has successfully participated as a prime contractor on a project at least 1project maintenance or renovation contracts within the last 5 years, each with a value of at least 70,000,000.00 ( Seventy Million) Eth. Birr [insert value of contracts], that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed Works.
