WEEMA International Inc. Invites Eligible Bidders for the Procurement of medical equipment and supplies through a competitive bidding process for distribution to health centers and health posts located in Damboya Woreda, Central Ethiopia Region.

INVITATION FOR TENDER

REF. NO WEEMA -02/2026

WEEMA International Inc. is a charitable organization registered and operating under the Ethiopian Civil Society Agency with registration number 3058. The organization intends to procure medical equipment and supplies through a competitive bidding process for distribution to health centers and health posts located in Damboya Woreda, Central Ethiopia Region.

Accordingly, interested bidders participating in this tender must fulfill the following requirements:

•  Regulatory Compliance

Bidders must be compliant with all applicable national and international regulations governing the manufacture and distribution of pharmaceuticals. Valid license from the relevant health authority & compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

• Experience and Qualification

Bidders should provide evidence of previous experience in supplying pharmaceuticals.

• Quality Assurance

Bidders must demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance through certificates, evidence of quality control, and an expiry date of a minimum of one year.

• Local Registration

Bidders must be locally registered with a valid certificate of competency issued by the appropriate health authority.

•  Trade License

Bidders should have a renewed trade license for the current year.

• VAT Documentation

VAT registration certificate, taxpayer identification number (TIN), and current tax clearance certificate, including eligibility to participate in public tender.

•  Bid Security

Bidders shall provide bid security in the form of a Cash Payment Order (CPO) amounting to 2% of their bid offer made out in the name of WEEMA International Inc. The bid security must remain valid for a minimum of one month from the bid submission deadline.

•  Tender Documents

Interested bidders may purchase the tender document containing the type and detailed specifications of the medical equipment and supplies by paying a non-refundable fee of ETB 300.00 (Three Hundred Birr) in person at the head office of WEEMA International Inc.

• Bid Submission Requirements and Submission Location

Bidders must provide a complete set of price listings in accordance with the specified requirements. Each item must have its unit clearly stated. Tender documents should be submitted to WEEMA Head Office, 500 meters off the road leading from Bole Sub-City toward Egziabher AbChurch.

Bid Publication, Closing and Opening

The bid will be published on 31 May 2026, closed on June 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM local time, and will be opened on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time, in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives.
