CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOT) ON PUBLIC SPEAKING, CONFIDENCE BUILDING, ASSERTIVENESS AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
BACKGROUND
CST Ethiopia represents the overseas development and humanitarian agencies of the Catholic Church from England and Wales (CAFOD), Scotland (SCIAF), and Ireland (Trócaire) in Ethiopia. The three agencies have over 40 years of experience in international development and humanitarian response and are each member of worldwide networks, including Caritas Internationalis. Currently,the three agencies jointly operate a single, integrated country programme in Ethiopia through the legal entity CST Ethiopia. CST Ethiopia is a partnership organization and works with local partners to deliver services for people in need especially on Humanitarian response, women Empowerment focusing on protection, livelihood enhancement and strengthening resilience of vulnerable and marginalized communities.
As part of its Women's Empowerment Programme, CST Ethiopia is committed to strengthening women's leadership, participation, and voice, as well as enhancing the capacity of women-led and community-based organisations.
To support these efforts, CST Ethiopia intends to engage a qualified consultant/ training firm through a competitive bid process to deliver a Training of Trainers (ToT) on Public Speaking, Confidence Building, Assertiveness, and Communication Skills.
SCOPE OF WORK
The objective of this consultancy is to design and facilitate a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme aimed at equipping partner staff with practical skills and methodologies to cascade training to community-level women leaders.
The assignment will include, but not be limited to, the following components:
- Design and facilitate a three-day ToT programme.
- Develop contextualized training materials and facilitation guides.
- Conduct practical and interactive learning sessions.
- Integrate Ethiopian cultural and gender perspectives relevant to women's leadership and communication.
- Facilitate role plays, simulations, case discussions, and practical exercises.
- Assess participant learning and engagement
- Provide recommendations for cascading the training to frontline staff and community groups.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Interested consultants/firms should demonstrate:
- Proven experience delivering training on public speaking, leadership, communication, assertiveness, gender, or women's empowerment.
- Strong experience in Training of Trainers (ToT) facilitation.
- Knowledge of women's empowerment and leadership issues in Ethiopia.
- Experience working with NGOs, civil society organizations, and community based programmes.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- An advanced degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Communication, Psychology, Adult Education, Development Studies, or related fields is desirable.

These documents and submissions must be placed in separate, sealed, and stamped envelopes. In addition, bidders are required to provide a renewed business license for the current year, a VAT certificate, and a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). All Expressions of Interest should be clearly marked "Consultancy Service for Training of Trainers (Tot)" and delivered in sealed and stamped envelopes to CST Ethiopia's Addis Ababa office at Kirkos Sub City, Woreda 3, Kebele 4, next to Gotera Don Bosco, Catholic Salesianum, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
