Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor is inviting competitive bids for the provision of labor, material, and equipment for core drilling for dam instrumentation installation work on Lot-1 of the Chel-Chel Dam and Appurtenant Structure Construction Project.

Notice of Invitation to Bid

1. Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor wants to reinvite competitive and professional bidders to submit sealed bids for providing the necessary labor, material and equipment for core drilling for dam instrumentation installation work on Lot-1; Chel-Chel Dam and Appurtenant Structure Construction Project.

2. The project is located in Bale Zone of Oromia National Regional Raytu Woreda, located some 20 kilometers before Raytu town. Access to the project area is possible using the 400-kilometer Addis Ababa - Asela- Dodola Robe asphalt road to be followed by either the Robe - Gasera- Ginir-Raytu all-weather gravel road which is about 200 km long or, the Robe - Goro - Ginir-Raytu gravel road that is about 170 km long.

3. Interested bidders shall submit a Competency Certificate from the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction renewed for 2018 EFY with working competency for the required works having category of Grade 5 and above together with other appropriate documentary evidences demonstrating the bidder's compliance, which shall include:

3.1. Trading License renewed for 2018 EFY;

3.2. Certificate of Registration;

3.3. Tax Clearance Certificate, which states that the bidder can participate in any public tender, valid till the bid submission date;

3.4. VAT Registration Certificate and Tin No. and

3.5. Registration as a Supplier in the list of the mandated public body, i.e. public Procurement and Property Administration Agency (PPPAA).

4. The bidder has to:

4.1. Submit certificate of experience to justify a minimum of 2 (Two) years of specific experience and has to present certificate/ proof for completion of at least 2 (Two) different projects.

4.2. Present the minimum equipment requirement as specified in the ToR and the competent manpower for operation.

4.3. Present detailed working methodology and linear activity program/schedule as part of the technical document submission as specified in the technical specification.

5. Interested and eligible bidders may obtain the ToR for the work from the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.

6. Bidders shall submit their Bids in two envelopes, the first envelope labeled as "Qualification Information" and the second envelope "Financial Bid, separately sealed and the two envelopes sealed in an- other outer envelope. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.

7. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security, in CPO addressed to Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, of ETB 50,000.00.

8. The Qualification information and Bid Security will be opened immediately after the submission deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the address below.

9. The bid shall be submitted within 15 calendar days after the invitation to bid announcement date and shall be submitted before 4:00 PM.

10. The bid must be delivered to the address specified below. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
