Tis Esat Water Works PLC is inviting qualified bidders (Grade 4 and above WC or GC) for sub-contracting labor works for the Kebtele Town Water Supply expansion Project in Awi Zone, Jawi Woreda, Amhara.

Invitation for Open Bid

Tis Isat Water Works PLC, is currently undertaking the construction of the Kebtele Town Water Supply expansion Project located in Awi Zone, Jawi Woreda at Kebtel Kebele, under a contract agreement with the Amhara Water and Energy Bureau. Accordingly, the Company intends to give sub contract selected portions of the labor works to eligible bidders. Therefore, qualified bidders who are engaged in the construction sector, holding Grade 4 and above (WC or GC), and who are capable of fulfilling the requirements listed below, are invited to participate in a competitive selection process for sub-contracting works which are categorize in to 4 lots (LOT-1, LOT-2, LOT-3 & LOT-4).

Bid information and requirements

1. Eligibility documents shall be attached to the technical offer.

2. All pages of the documents shall be signed and sealed.

3. All construction materials shall be supplied by the main contractor.

4. Bidders shall not be allowed to bid for more than one lot.

5. Bidders shall clearly and correctly fill the unit price and total price for each work item in the bill of quantities they submit, by hand writing, without leaving it unclear or ambiguous.

7. The bid shall remain open for only fifteen (15) consecutive days starting from the date of announcement on Addis Zemen Newspaper. The bid will be closed on the 15th day at 3:00 PM and will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives at the Contract Administration and Business Development Department office, Office No. 10, at the company's head office located in Bahir Dar City, Atse Tewodros Sub-City, Maraki Kebele, in front of Teddy Drivers Training Institute.

8. If the bid closing and opening date falls on a non-working day, the bid shall be closed and opened on the next working day at the same time.

9. Bidders who attempt to interfere with or distort the bidding process during the bid opening shall be disqualified from the tender. Furthermore, they will not be allowed to participate in any future tenders conducted by the company, and their bid security shall be forfeited.

10. The price submitted by bidders during the tender must remain valid for at least 45 days starting from the date the tender is opened.

11. Advance payment-Not Applicable for this bid.

12. After the tender has been opened, bidders are not allowed to make any changes or modifications to the proposal they submitted, nor can they withdraw themselves from the tender.

13. Bidders must sign a contract agreement by fulfilling the performance bond of 10% or 30% of the contract amount including VAT in an unconditional bank guarantee or insurance, respectively and other documents indicated under bidders' required qualification and evaluation criteria's within 5/Five/ calendar days since the issue date of an award letter to the bidder.

14. The company reserves the right to cancel the tender as a whole or in part if it finds a better alternative.

15. Bidders must submit both their financial proposal and technical documents separately, each in a different envelope.
