Bid for Purchase of Term Life, GPA and Medical Insurances

Global Communities (Formerly PCI) is a legally registered, under Certificate number 6188, non-political and non-for-profit International Non- Governmental Organization that has been operating in Ethiopia since 2005. Global Communities in Ethiopia works to strengthen the livestock value chain, resilience, Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change adaptations, food security, and livelihood sustainability for vulnerable populations through integrated, community-led programs.

Global Communities, recently funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), to implement a project called the Partnership for Productivity (P4P): Strengthening the Livestock Value Chain in Ethiopia. In parallel, through the AfriScout Regenerative Grazing Carbon Project funded by its Strategic Investment Fund (SIF), it supports vulnerable pastoral communities by addressing low productivity, limited market access, and livelihood challenges. Our programs in Oromia, Southern Ethiopia, Sidama and Somali regions focus on improving livestock value chain and market access for the communities.

GC wants to buy insurance coverage for its national employees. At the moment we have 36 (Thirty-Six) employees hired at Addis Ababa, Oromia, South Ethiopia, Sidama and Somali Regions, Addis Ababa.

GC would like to invite interested and qualified insurance companies to submit financial and technical proposals to the address above.

Requirements to be full filled by prospective service providers;

1. Renewed business certificate

2. Taxpayer Certificate

3.VAT Registered Certificate

4. All pages of the bid document must be stamped and should include full address of the bidder if not the document has no value

5. All document certificates and handwriting should be neat, visible, readable and validated.

6. Evaluation criteria:

Quotations will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, as set forth below. GC shall first evaluate the non-price elements of the quotation to determine whether they are acceptable or not acceptable. In conducting its evaluation, GC may seek information from any source it deems appropriate to obtain or validate information regarding acceptability of service provider quotation. Award will be made to the technically acceptable quotation with the lowest evaluated price.

7. Application procedures

a) Interested and qualified service providers can collect detail TOR in person from the address above before/ on July 15, 2026.

b) An original and a copy bid shall be prepared in sealed envelopes labelled Original and Copy. The envelopes shall then to be submitted to GC office located around Meskel Flower Hotel, Aster Plaza 7th floor before/ on July 20, 2026, 5:00 pm.

GC reserves the right to request additional information from prospective service providers or reject the entire or partial part of this bid.
