Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an  independent humanitarian and development organization established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. With a presence in over 40 countries around the globe, IRW has been responding to humanitarian needs and fighting poverty for over the last 30 years. Similarly, it has been operating in Ethiopia since 2004 in Addis Ababa City, Somali and Afar National Regional States. IRE is engaged in the provision of critical emergency water supply and sanitation services, as part of its emergency responses in Somali, regions. Accordingly, IRE is looking for a highly qualified company with good local experience and understanding of norms that can provide lifesaving water trucking services to the communities:

1. ISLAMIC RELIEF (IRE) now invites all eligible local suppliers registered and licensed under by relevant government authorities for 2018 E.C TO SUPPLY LIFESAVING WATER TRACKING SOMALI, REGIONS. Hargelle Woreda – Four Sites (Bulaad, Jimba, Yo'o, and Qurdag)
2. Interested and eligible local vendors/suppliers with sound capacity, relevant experience in similar work experience, sound financial capacity and registered with respective authorities are invited to collect tender documents from IRE Country office Addis Ababa, Jigjiga and Hargelle filed offices Somali regions;
3.  Local suppliers are encouraged to participate and they can submit support letter from the local areas;
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the total bid amount in CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, the bid security shall be valid for 60 days;
5. Bidders shall provide evidence satisfactory to IRE including similar work experience for at least 3 years;
6. Bidder should submit most recent bank statements for the past one year;
7. Bidders shall exhibit mobilization and delivery plan upon call;
8. Bidders are required to show list of equipment (Trucks with technical specifications such as loading capacity and materials to be deployed), if not owned, contract entered with a company, any other relevant documents;
9. Wax-sealed envelopes containing a separate envelope sealed and marked "Technical Proposal," "Financial proposal"
10. Bids must be delivered to IRE Country office Addis Ababa, Jigjiga and Hargelle filed offices Somali region before Tuesday 14th July 2026, 10:30 Am Morning. Bid will be closed at 10:30AM and will be opened on the same date at 11:00 AM (Morning). Any tender or documents received later than this date and time will not be accepted.
11. The tenders will be opened and evaluated by IRE tender committees and thereafter notify the successful vendors to start the service immediately.
