INVITATION TO BID

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society Amhara Regional Branch office invites eligible and qualified contractors of category of General Contractor -5, Building Contractor 5 and Water Work Contractor -5 and above with valid trade license, registration certificate, and eligible for the work Construction of Gender segregated and disability friendly institutional latrines with handwashing facilities, Menstrual Hygiene Management room, Health center Renovation (Maternal Waiting room and/or Emergency room construction) with WASH-FIT, Spring development with pipeline extension and rehabilitation/construction of water points with extension of water pipeline and/or water storage structures. The works will be implemented under the ERCS Amhara Region, in South Gondar, Central Gondar, North Gondar, East Gojjam and South Wollo Zone Branch office at different woredas as detailed following twelve Lots. The bidders may participate in all lots, several lots, or a single lot only.

1. Interested eligible bidders can purchase a complete set of bidding document paying for a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000 (one thousand birr). Payment must be made to CBE Account No. 1000016657577 ERCS Amhara Regional Branch office, and a bank-stamped deposit slip must be presented at the ERCS Amhara Regional Branch Office.

2. All tenders must be submitted to Ethiopian Red Cross Society Amhara Regional Branch office along with a BID SECURITY (BID BOND) in acceptable Forms CPO ONLY SPECIFIED IN THE BIDDING DATA SHEET amounting to 2% of the bid offer, on separate envelope. The bid bond should be valid for 28 days after bid validity.

3. Financial offer shall be produced in separate envelopes labeled as ORIGINAL and COPY. TECHNICAL OFFER shall be made in a separate third sealed envelope clearly labeled as TECHNICAL OFFER. The three envelopes shall then be sealed, signed and stamped inside a sealed, signed and stamped outer envelope, addressed to Ethiopian Red Cross Society new hose address is mentioned below. Bidders must submit separate technical and financial do proposals for each bid they participated in.

4. Bid will be closed on 15th consecutive calendar day at 2:00 pm, and technical document will be opened on the same day at 2:30 pm in the presence of those bidders on their authorized representatives who are willing to attend the event at ERCS Amhara regional branch office meeting hall.

5. If the 15th consecutive calendar day's day is a holiday, closing and opening will be the next working day.

6. Bidders are advised to read the bidding document thoroughly in order to fill all the necessary details requested in the bid document.

7. Bidders are required to fill all the necessary details requested in the bid document.

8. Failure to comply with the conditions from no.2 to 7 above shall result in an automatic rejection.

9. Ethiopian Red Cross Society Amhara regional branch office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without fixing any reason thereof.
