Re-advertisement: Consulting Assignment for Technology Support Provision & Customization

1. Background

R&D Group, in partnership with Hybrid Designs under the Mastercard Foundation’s Entrepreneurship in the Digital and Gig Economy (EDGE) Program, invites qualified technology firms to submit technical and financial proposals for the deployment, customization, and long-term support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for EDGE-supported outsourcing enterprises.

2. Scope of Work & Objectives

The selected service provider will be required to execute end-to-end technology provision:

• Task 1: Requirements & Platform Selection: Conduct requirements assessment per enterprise and recommend modules based on globally recognized platforms or in-house developed solutions.
• Task 2: Customization & Module Development: Customize modules, build dedicated Sales and Business Development modules, implement security safeguards, deploy systems with a two (2) year subscription, conduct user training, and transfer source code and related assets.
• Task 3: Maintenance & Support: Provide two (2) years of ongoing maintenance support, software updates, fixes, and SLA-backed technical assistance.

3. Location & Delivery

Deployments will take place primarily in Addis Ababa, with regional enterprises assigned as needed (cloud-based and/or on-premises).

4. Qualification Requirements

Interested firms must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

• Legal Compliance: Valid business registration, trade license, Tax Identification Number (TIN), and tax clearance certificate.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software implementation/customization and proven enterprise technology deployment capabilities.
• Key Personnel: Dedicated team including a Team Leader (Master’s degree + 6 years' leadership experience or equivalent), at least three (3) Developers/Engineers (Bachelor’s degree + 5 years' experience), and a Support/Maintenance Engineer (4 years' experience).

• Technical and Financial proposals must be submitted as separate files. Technical proposals should be in PDF format and capped at 12 pages (excluding CVs and annexes).
• Financial proposals must quote unit prices in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) with a validity period of 90 days.
