Reach for Change Ethiopia invites qualified and experienced production companies and individual consultants to submit Technical and Financial Proposals to produce four high-quality mini documentaries profiling selected Cohort III EdTech Fellows. The series will showcase their entrepreneurial journeys, education solutions and measurable impact, while demonstrating how the Fellowship contributes to enterprise growth and long-term sustainability.

About Reach for Change

Reach for Change is an international non-profit organization working to improve the lives of children and young people by supporting local social entrepreneurs to develop and scale innovative solutions to pressing societal challenges.

Scope of Services

The selected service provider will produce a coherent series of four professionally produced mini documentaries, including:

Mini Documentary Production

• Four mini documentaries,3-5minutes each, produced and delivered in native 4K resolution
• Horizontal (16:9) and vertical (9:16) versions for each documentary
• One 30-45 second promotional trailer per documentary for digital and social media
• Authentic interviews, observational footage and filming in real learning or operational environments
• Professional lighting, audio, stabilization and drone footage where appropriate and legally permitted

Post Production

• Professional editing, colour correction and colour grading
• Audio editing, sound design and licensed or original music
• English subtitles, approved branding, graphics, titles and end credits
• High-resolution thumbnails and promotional still photographs
• Delivery of raw footage, B-roll, audio, editable project files, graphics, subtitles and structured digital archive

Indicative Filming Locations

Addis Ababa, Hawassa and Tigray Region. Where security or logistical considerations prevent filming in Tigray, the filming plan may be revised in consultation with Reach for Change Ethiopia.

• Respectful representation of Ethiopia's cultural diversity, avoiding staged scenes, stereotypes and poverty-centered narratives
•  Consistent visual identity and editorial quality across the full series

Eligibility Requirements

Interested production companies or individual consultants should demonstrate:

• Relevant documentary production experience in Ethiopia
• Strong portfolio, including at least three comparable assignments completed within the last five years
• Qualified production team, including Producer/Director, Cinematographer, Sound Technician and Video Editor; Drone Operator where applicable
• Professional production equipment and appropriate editing software
• Capacity to manage production logistics, travel, permits, safeguarding, consent, quality assurance and risk
• At least three professional references and valid statutory business documentation

Proposal Submission

Interested applicants shall submit a Technical Proposal, Financial Proposal, company or consultant profile, relevant portfolio, proposed team with brief CVs, equipment/software list, professional references and mandatory administrative documents. Technical and Financial Proposals must be submitted separately. Financial Proposals will only be evaluated for bidders meeting the minimum technical threshold. Technical evaluation accounts for 70% and Financial evaluation 30%.
