The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) is seeking qualified contractors (Category BC-5/GC-5 and above) for the construction of office completion works, fences, and watchtowers for Customer Service Centers in the Wolaita Region.

Invitation for Bid

The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) intends to invite qualified and experienced eligible contractors to bid through an open tender for the construction of office completion work, fence and watchtower construction works, for the Wolaita Region Customer Service Centers.

1. Category BC-5/GC-5 and above.

2.Project locations: Lot 1 (Boditi town) and Lot 2 (Shone town).

3. Valid trade license and Commercial registration certificate; tax clearance certificates and Registered in the FPPA's Suppliers List, and also registered in Value Added Tax (VAT).

4. The amount of the bid security shall be 400,000.00 (Four Hundred Thousand) birr by a bank CPO, delivered to the Ethiopian Electric Utility, Wolaita Region. Bid validity date shall be as specified in the bidding document.

5.A bid document prepared in English can be obtained from the Ethiopian Electric Utility, Wolaita Region Office, at the ground floor (Room 4), for 30 (thirty) consecutive days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the newspaper by paying 1,000 (one thousand) Birr.

6. The bid documents, one original and one copy (technical and financial), in sealed, separated envelopes, with the clearly written name and Lot No., should be submitted on the 30th day from the date of publication of this advertisement, at the Supply Chain and PGS Office (Room 4), no later than 2:00 p.m. The bids will be closed at that time. On the same date at 2:30 pm, in the presence or absence of the bidders or their legal representatives, the bid will be opened. If this day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the next working day will be the day on which the bids will be delivered by hand and opened.

7.The technical evaluation of the bid will be based solely on the technical evaluation criteria detailed in the bidding document. The only contractors who have passed the technical evaluation will be invited for financial.

8.A single bidder shall not be permitted to participate in more than one lot.

9. The Ethiopian Electric Utility reserves the right to cancel the bid in whole or in part if it finds a better alternative.
