INVITATION to OPEN TENDER FOR Computer tables and chairs
LOCATION: SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE’S Mekelle
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 21 April 2026

SOS Children’s Village, CVW Funded Digital Horizon Project, wants to procure computer tables and Chairs with a detailed specification listed here below & invites suppliers who fulfill the following legal preconditions to submit a selected tender as per the specification details, instructions to bidders, and General Terms and conditions of purchase as described hereunder:

Therefore, those who only fulfil the following mandatory criteria below are cordially invited to participate in the open bid.

1. Possessing a legal trade license in the field of Woodwork materials and submitting a copy of the license.

2. Those who have the newly issued receipt with QR code

3. These who have audited report of 2017 E.C

4. These who have 2018 E.C tax clearance

5. Providing TIN certificate’s visible copy and a VAT registered who have a declaration of 2026 G.C /2018 E.C

6. Those who can provide a legal formal witness letter that the supplier has registered license in the fiscal year to provide similar services

7. Providing all necessary documents with legal stamps and signatures.

8. The tables and chairs materials must done with its logo of SOS

9. A figurative sample of the items are attached in here below for ease of provision as per the sample, then the winner must provide one sample from each items for approval before mass production

10. The winning seller must make a formal agreement with us in seven days from the time he/she is notified as a winner

11. Competitors are expected to take the bidding formats from our office Mekelle /Addis Ababa offices

12. Competitors will be submitting a collateral of Birr 400,000.00 in CPO form written in the name of SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES from well-known legal banks on the date of the bid submission.

13. The bid process will be closed on April 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm and open at 2:30 pm in the presence of the bidding parties or with their legal representatives.

14. Our firm will not abide by the bidding process in case any better alternative is found, and this may include fully cancelation.

15. After opening the bid, we have the privilege to add or deduct the amounts up to 20% of the total amounts proposed.

16. The supplier shall adhere to provision of sample for the computer tables and chairs, 

including:

• Reinforced, laminated wooden or plyboard tabletop or better.
• Metal frame construction with anti-rust finish.
• Proper dimensions for laptop computer placement and cable management.
• Ergonomic chair structure with steel tubing and high-durability seating surface.
• All materials must be new, compliant, and safe for school use.
