Vision Action invites proposals for an External Auditor to audit financial records for the period April 2025 to March 2026, with a potential contract extension for three years.

Tender Announcement for External Auditor

Vision Action, formerly known as Vision Aid Overseas (VAO), is an international organization established and registered in the United Kingdom (Charity No. 1081695, England and Wales). In addition, Vision Action is registered with the Ethiopian Democratic Republic of Ethiopia agency for Civil Society Organization Proclamation No. 1113/2019, and holds Certificate No.3638.

Vision Action requires an External Auditor to audit its financial records held in Ethiopia for the period April 2025 to March 2026 with possible extension of contract for next three years.

Deadline for submitting documents and proforma invoices is Ten (10) calendar days from the date of this announcement through E-mail address mentioned at the bottom.

The External Auditor will:

1) Perform a standard financial audit of Vision Action's annual financial activity in Ethiopia to determine its financial status and compliance with policies and procedures of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organizations.

2) Perform auditing and accounting tests to determine the reliability and integrity of the internal control system.

3) Examine accounting records such as general ledgers, assets/liability records, income/ expenditure accounts, commitments to the government, source documents and payroll accounting to verify that transactions have been properly recorded and in compliance with applicable regulations and Vision Action processes and procedures.

4) Prepare an Audit Report and Management letter with recommendations for corrective action applying professional judgment and interpretation of applicable rules and standards.

5) Submit the final Audit Report to Vision Action on May 31, 2026.

6) Present the Audit Report to Country Office team.

Job Requirements

1) Renewed business license for the current period,

2) Registration certificate from the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE),

3) VAT Registration and TIN Certificates,

4) Previous experience in auditing INGOs, and

5) Evidence of previous experience in auditing financial statements prepared based on IPSAS.
