1. Introduction and Project Scope

Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium (MSF-OCB) invites qualified and experienced suppliers to submit formal bids for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Solarization of Merewa health center.

Project Details

• Project Name: Solarization of Merewa Health Center
• Project Location: Merewa, Korem, Ethiopia
• Project Infrastructure: Health Center
• Installation Description: Hybrid solar installation with lithium battery storage
• Maximum Power: 5.5Kw
• Daily energy consumption: 28KWh/day
• Storage kWh to be installed: 30 kWh
• Battery Type: Lithium-ion

The objective of this solarization project is to facilitate and continuity of health center activity. We welcome bids from reputable suppliers with proven experience in similar services and a strong track record of performance.

Bidders must demonstrate:

• Experience in supply and installation of solar systems
• Proven reliability through references from previous or current clients at least 5 testimonies with capacities of 10KWp to any size
• Capable of supply, installation, testing, commissioning and training staff
• Interested suppliers are encouraged to participate in this tender process in accordance with the requirements and timelines outlined in the tender document.

The scope includes:

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of hybrid solar system with backup batteries

Services: Professional installation, training staff and after-sales support

Location: 600KM North from Addis Ababa to Alamata (Asphalt Road) and 50 KM Gravel Road to Merewa Health Center.
