SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia (SOS CVE) is seeking a certified independent audit firm to conduct its annual external financial audit in accordance with IPSAS and Proclamation No. 1113/2019.

SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia (SOS CVE) is a member of the global SOS Children's Villages Federation and has been operating in Ethiopia since 1974. The organization is registered under the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019 and operates as a non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational charitable child welfare organization.

SOS CVE operates through nine programme locations: Addis Ababa, Arbaminch, Bahir Dar, Dessie, Gode, Harar, Hawassa, Jimma, and Mekelle. In addition, the organization manages emergency response programmes, donor-funded projects, sponsorship programmes, and income-generating activities.

In accordance with SOS Children's Villages International Statutes, the Good Management and Accountability Quality Standards, and legal requirements under Proclamation No. 1113/2019, SOS CVE is obliged to perform an annual external financial audit conducted by an independent and recognized audit company.

Interested Certified Audit firms should submit a Technical and Financial proposal in relation to the terms of references attached with this advert.

The following information and documents shall be provided:

A. Background information on the audit firm: Details of firm’s experience in providing auditing services to companies in the not-for-profit sector, especially international organizations

B) Methodology to be used: Describe how your firm will approach the audit as per TOR attached.

C) Describe how and why your firm is different from other firms being considered, and why our selection of your firm as an independent auditor is the best decision we could make.

D) Firm’s registration details with relevant regulatory authorities

E) Accreditation by a recognized institution

F) Provide at least 3 references from not-for-profit organizations for which your organization conducted audits in recent years and are still your clients.

G) Provide names and resumes of key personnel that will conduct the audit.

H) Include estimated time required on-site to complete the services.

I) Include a fee proposal to complete the services outlined in this request.

• Eligibility Documents – Valid Business License (E.C. 2018 Renewed License, Taxpayer Registration Certificate (TIN), and VAT Registration Certificate. 
• Company profile listing the bidders’ address, branches, structure, etc.
• Evidence of past satisfactory performance on the provision of similar supplies.

The tender document must be submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing an official company seal, and marked by the “bidders’ name, address, and the tender reference number and title as stated above. Tenders must be submitted in the bid box prepared for these purposes at SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia National office in Addis Ababa, located at Bole Atlas in front of Mado Hotel on August 21, 2026, on or before 3:00 PM.

SOS Children Village in Ethiopia Procurement Committee will open tender responses August 24, 2026, at 10:30 Am at its discretion.

SOS CVE reserves the right to accept or reject this bid, in partial, or in its entirety.
