Installation of Solar Panels at Assayita General Hospital

Background

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE), established in 1966, is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit charitable association providing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services. FGAE is an accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), having joined the Federation in 1970. The Association is known to have pioneered Family Planning (FP) services in Ethiopia.

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) North East Area Office would like to invite competitive and eligible firms for the installation of solar panels at Assayita General Hospital. Accordingly, all interested suppliers and contractors holding valid licenses for the year 2018 E.C. are invited to participate in the bidding process in accordance with the following requirements and criteria:

Bid Requirements and Conditions

1. Eligible and qualified bidders are invited to participate in the procurement process for the installation of solar panels at Assayita General Hospital. Bidders are expected to have relevant experience, technical capacity, qualified personnel, and the necessary equipment to successfully undertake the assignment.

2. Eligible bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) from either the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia Head Office, Addis Ababa, or the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia North East Area Office, Dessie, Room No. 01.

3. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to 1% of the total bid amount, in the form of a Certified Payment Order (CPO) or bank guarantee.

4. All bidders must submit the following valid and renewed documents:

  • Business license for the current year;
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN) certificate;
  • VAT registration certificate; and
  • Valid tax clearance certificate.

5. Sealed original and copy bid documents, together with separate financial proposals duly signed, sealed, and stamped with the official company stamp, must be submitted to either of the following addresses:

Bids submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

7. The quantity and/or contract amount may be increased or decreased by up to 25%, depending on the requirements and circumstances of the procurement.
