Equipment for the Implementation of the Contract

The Bidder must demonstrate ownership or an enforceable lease agreement for the following equipment, sufficient to service all blocks/zones of the KG School renovation concurrently. Attachments shall include renewal documentation for the equipment, valid at least for the year 2026 G.C.:

•      Dump Truck (16 m³) — Quantity: 2 Units

•      Concrete Mixer (750 L capacity) — Quantity: 1 Unit

•      Internal Poker Vibrator — Quantity: 1 Unit

•      Pickup with 5-quintal capacity — Quantity: 1 Unit

•      Excavator — Quantity: 1 Unit

•      Water Truck — Quantity: 1 Unit

Bidder has to submit relevant professional practice certificates, if required in BDS Clause 4.5(b)(iv).The Bidder must demonstrate that it will assign personnel who meet the following requirements for key positions.

Number of staff: At least 7 staff currently work for the Bidder. Among the staff mentioned, the Bidder must demonstrate that it will have the personnel for the key positions that meet the following requirements.

NB: The attachment shall include Renewed Employment Agreement; Renewed Professional License; CV; and testimonials from Previous Employers, etc., to be considered.

Bidder has to provide in the Bidder Certification of Compliance Form information related to its professional qualification and capability for the period specified in the BDS Clause 15.1;The Bidder must demonstrate that it will assign personnel who meet the following requirements for key positions.

Bidder has to demonstrate in its Technical Proposal that it will have the personnel for the key positions that meet requirements 1.      Project Manager:

o     MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

o     Experience: Total 4 years / 6 years.

o     Specific: Minimum 2 years as a Project Manager on similar institutional/educational building projects.

2.      Site Engineer:

o     MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

o     Experience: Total 4/6 years.

o     Specific: Minimum 2 years as a Site Engineer.

3.      Architect:

o     MSc/BSc in Architecture.

o     Experience: Total 6 years / 4 years.

o     Specific: Minimum 2 years as an Architect in renovation work, preferably on educational or institutional facilities.

4.      Office Engineer:

o     MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

o     Experience: Total 6 years / 4 years.

o     Specific: Minimum 2 years in office engineering.

5.      Quantity Surveyor:

o     BSc in Civil Engineering or Advanced Diploma (Level IV/V) in Surveying/Drafting.

o     Experience: Total 4 years (BSc) / 6 years (Diploma).

o     Specific: Minimum 2 years in contract administration, quantity surveying.

6.      Construction Foreman:

o     Diploma/Certificate from Technical School.

o     Experience: Total 6 years.

o     Specific: Minimum 4 years as a General Foreman.

7.      Environmentalist:

o     MSc/BSc degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.

o     Experience: Total 4/6 years and a minimum of 2 years as an Environmentalist.

General experience in Construction Sector as Contractor,

 •      Domestic contractors must have the following experience in their respective sectors within the last ten years, whether acting as a prime contractor, in a Joint Venture, or as a subcontractor: [For Grades 1 and 2: Five years; For Grade 3: Three years; For Grade 4: Two years; For Grade 5 : One Years].

•      Requirement: Submission of renewed Trade License and Competency Certificate. Copies of payment certificates, Acceptance certificates.

Specific (Relevant) Experience:

•      Domestic Contractors must have executed at least two construction/renovation projects with a scope similar to the proposed KG School renovation works within the last ten years, as a prime contractor, JV partner, or subcontractor, and must have completed at least 70% of the work in a reliable and satisfactory manner.

•      The Bidder must have completed at least two projects with 70% of the estimated cost, OR three projects aggregating to the required amount.

•      Requirement: The Bidder has successfully completed at least 2 (two) contracts within the last ten years with a value of at least ETB 15,000,000; OR the Bidder has successfully completed 3 (three) contracts within the last ten years that are similar in nature, where the aggregate value meets the requirement, provided each individual project is not less than 1/3rd of the requirement.

•      Evidence: Attach Certificates of Satisfactory Completion/Payment certificates/Taking-over Certificates, accompanied by the Contract Agreement.
