ABAYS Trading P.L.C. is an Ethiopian food company and the producer of Almi Products. ABAYS invites qualified suppliers, manufacturers, farmers' cooperatives and traders to submit sealed bids for the supply of the raw materials below, based on 3 months of consumption. Bidders may bid for all lots or for selected lots. Each lot may be awarded separately.

• Bidders deliver one sealed outer envelope containing Envelope A (documents) and Envelope B (financial offer).

4. Eligibility and Required Documents

• Legally registered in Ethiopia, with a trade licence renewed for the current year that covers the goods offered
• Commercial registration certificate (and Memorandum and Articles of Association for companies), TIN certificate, VAT certificate where applicable, and valid tax clearance
• Power of attorney and ID of the signatory, if the signatory is not the owner or manager named in the licence
• Company profile, reference letters and proof of similar supply contracts
• Bank reference letter and evidence of supply capacity (stock, farm or cooperative base, storage, transport)
• Quality and regulatory approvals that apply to the goods, for example EFDA approval, Ethiopian Standards conformity, coffee licence, legal wood permit
• No outstanding legal judgements in the past three years, and not blacklisted
• Signed ABAYS Supplier Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Declaration
• Samples of the lots bid for, after document inspection (at least 1 kg per item, 1 litre for oil, 1 piece for wood)

5. Delivery, Price and Payment

• Delivery to the ABAYS site in Sululta, within 5 days of each order
• Prices in Ethiopian Birr (ETB), valid for 30 days, VAT shown separately
• Payment 30 days after delivery, acceptance and a valid invoice

6. Evaluation Criteria

Technical: 70% (sample quality 45, supply capacity 15, experience 10) and Financial: 30%. Minimum technical score of 70% to qualify.

7. Right to Accept, Reject or Cancel

ABAYS Trading P.L.C. reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to cancel this tender (request for proposals), in whole or in part, at any stage before contract signing, without liability and without assigning any reason. Bidders bear their own bid costs. If the tender is cancelled, sealed envelopes that have not been opened are returned unopened.
