DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) intends to procure digital totems to enhance communication and visitor engagement at the Africa Hall Visitor Center. This initiative aims to provide visitors with clear, accessible, and timely information through freestanding digital displays. The totems will serve as communication platforms for advertising information, interactive directories, and multimedia content for exhibition, content display at Africa Hall Visitor Center for an informative and engaging visitor experience.
UNECA would like to use the standing digital totems to display multimedia content, including text, images, and videos, with interactive functionality where specified in the technical requirements. The solution should enable authorized UNECA personnel to manage, update, and schedule content centrally. The equipment and associated software should be suitable for the intended installation locations and support user-friendly, accessible, and multilingual communication.
Scope of Work
The selected supplier will be responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of the digital totems and associated content management solution.

- Resolution & Visuals: Available in Full HD (1080p) or high-clarity 4K resolution, with options like direct-view LED (DV-LED) or commercial LCD panels. Brightness typically ranges from 500 nits upward for clear indoor visibility.
- Interactivity: Equipped with 10-point capacitive or infrared touchscreens for multi-touch gestures like pinch-to-zoom, tapping, and swiping.
- Operating Systems: Commonly powered by built-in Android, Windows IoT, or Linux media players.
- Content Management: Supports remote content updates via a central Content Management System (CMS), built-in apps, or quick USB plug-and-play.
- Content Types: Capable of running high-resolution images, promotional videos, live data feeds, interactive way finding maps, and digital catalogs.
- Design Options: Built with a slim metal body, tempered safety glass, and optional caster wheels for mobility, available in single-sided or double-sided panels.

In addition to the information contained in this REOI, interested vendors should ensure the following minimum requirements are met:
1) Companies should be registered in UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) or should start their registration process immediately if not registered using the link https://www.ungm.org.
2) In order to participate, vendors are advised to be registered at the basic level in the UNGM OSCM/REOI v2023-01 [EN]
3) Vendors must be registered in UNGM under the UNSPSC code 43211514;20101600:43211900, in order to participate in the solicitation for this requirement.
5. Women-owned businesses and businesses owned by persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate.

6) This REOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNECA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a response to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
7) UNECA also reserves the right to send the Solicitation Documents to companies who were identified through additional market research or other means to source the UN requirements.
