PROCUREMENT OF EXERCISE BOOKS, PENS, AND LEATHER SCHOOL BAGS REF. NO. GNE/13/2026

1. Introduction

Good Neighbors Ethiopia (GNE) invites sealed bids from eligible, licensed, and technically qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of Exercise Books, Blue Pens, and Leather School Bags to the Assosa CDP, as detailed below under Two Separate Lots, through a national open tender:

LOT 2 – Supply & Delivery of Leather School Bags

 3. Eligibility Criteria

Interested bidders must submit the following mandatory legal and technical documents to qualify for evaluation.

• Copy of a valid and renewed Trade License for the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
• Copy of Certificate of Registration, TIN and VAT Registration Certificate.
• Copy of a renewed Tax Clearance Certificate valid for the current fiscal year.
• Bid Security: Shall be required in an amount equivalent to 2% of the total bid price, in the form of CPO only, and shall remain valid for a minimum of 45 calendar days from the bid submission deadline.
• Documents  must  demonstrate  full  compliance  with  all  requirements  stated  in  the  tender document.

4. Collection of Tender Documents:

• Availability: Bidders can obtain the tender document starting from August 03, 2026, during office hours from Monday to Friday: 8:00AM, – 4:00 PM (East Africa Time).
• Document Fee: A non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000.00 (Birr One Thousand Only) is required for each Lot, payable in cash at the GNE Head Office Finance Department and Assosa CDP Office.
• Location: GNE Head Office, Ahmed Business Center, 5th  Floor, Lideta Sub-City, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; and the Assosa CDP Office, Assosa Town, Kebele 4, approximately 100 meters from World Vision along the main road to Assosa University.

5. Bid Submission and Opening

• Bids must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes for each lot (Technical: original and copy; Financial: original and copy) and clearly marked.
• Submission Deadline: Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope no later than August 11,
  2026, at 10:00 AM.
• Submission Venue: Good Neighbors Ethiopia, Assosa CDP Office, Assosa Town, Kebele 4, approximately 100 meters from World Vision along the main road to Assosa University.
• Bid Opening: Bids will be opened on August 11, 2026, at 10:15 AM at the Assosa CDP Office,
  Assosa Town, Kebele 4, approximately 100 meters from World Vision along the main road to Assosa University, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.
• Note: Late or electronic (email) submissions will be rejected without exception.

6.Terms and Conditions

• Bidders are required to review the tender documents strictly; non-compliance with any stated condition will result in automatic disqualification.

Good Neighbors Ethiopia (GNE) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all parts of the bid, at its sole discretion, without providing reasons.
