Qualification Requirements

  • Certificates of satisfactory execution The Bidder has to submit successfully completed Certificate of Satisfactory execution of contracts with a budget of at least 50,000,000 (Fifty Million Ethiopian Birr) for the lot as specified in the BDS 16.3 that of this contract in the past three years Reference: 35.4(c)
  • Bidder Nationality Bidder has nationality in accordance with ITB Sub-Clause 4.2 Reference: 4.2
  • Conflict of interest Bidder is found to have a conflict of interest as described in ITB Sub-Clause 4.3 Reference: ITB 35.2(a)
  • Form Data on Joint Ventures In the case of a bid submitted by a joint venture (JV), the Bidder has failed to submit the Form Data on Joint Ventures, the Agreement governing the formation of joint venture, or letter of intent to form JV, including a draft agreement, in accordance with ITB Clause 4.1 Reference: ITB 35.2(i)
  • valid business license Bidder has to submit valid business license indicating the stream of business in which the bidder is engaged, in accordance with ITB Clause 4.6(b) (i); Reference: ITB 35.2(c)
  • valid tax clearance certificate Domestic Bidder has to submit a valid tax clearance certificate issued by the tax authority, in accordance with ITB Clause 4.6(b)(iii Reference: ITB 35.2(f)

  • Warranty offered Bidder has to submit Description of the organization of the warranty offered in accordance with the conditions laid down in GCC Clause 25 Reference: 35.4(ii)
  • Total life-cycle costs   Bidder has to submit Description of a separate statement of the total life-cycle costs associated with the goods according to ITB 12.12 Reference: ITB 354(iv)
  • Manufacturer Authorization Letter Bidder has to submit Manufacturer Authorization Letter in accordance with ITB Clause 5.6 Reference: 35.4(iii)
  • Financial statements The average annual turnover for the period specified in Section 3, Evaluation Methodology and Criteria does not exceed the amount of the financial proposal of the Bid in value specified in the BDS. The average annual turnover for the last two (2) recent consecutive business Years must exceed or equal to 60,000,000.00 Birr i.e. [(year one +year two) divided by 2]. Reference: 35.5(a)
  • Descriptive technical literature Bidder has to submit Descriptive technical literature in accordance with ITB Clause 17 Reference: ITB 35.4(i)

    •  Since the delivery place is at each universities Warehouse, Warehouse is not required.
    • For all delivered Goods, transportation cost, installation cost (if any), Loading and unloading costs including carrying cost at supplier’s/Seller’s warehouse or premises and also at the buyer’s (each universities) warehouse or premises  shall be covered by the supplier/Seller.
